Lindsay Lohan's Probation Revoked; Posts $100,000 Bail

It’s been too long since Lindsay Lohan has made a court appearance and apparently, too long since she has attempted to fulfill her probation requirements. Lindsay Lohan may have thought she had a year to complete them, but a Los Angeles County judge proved otherwise after she revoked her probation on Wednesday for failing to make an effort with her community service requirement, reports CNN.

The Internet has been blowing up with photos of LiLo dressed in angelic white with a pair of shiny handcuff accessories. Lohan was removed from court and later freed two hours after her arrest since she posted $100,000 bail. The money may be a drop in the bucket for the pint-sized movie star, but Lohan could face jail time for her lack of dedication to the community.

The decision to revoke probation is at the court's discretion. An angry Judge Stephanie Sautner scheduled a probation violation hearing in November after she ruled to revoke her probation on Wednesday. Lohan has had several probation violations in the past, including failed alcohol and drug tests and lack of attendance at court-ordered psychological counseling. Her history of violating her probation was not lost on the judge on Sunday.

"Her probation would have been done last year if she had done what she was supposed to do," Sautner said. "Probation is a gift. It's not a right."

Lohan's probation was granted after she was convicted of shoplifting earlier this year. However, Sautner had threatened to revoke her probation in July when it was revealed that she had only completed 33 hours of community service since her sentencing in May. Since then, she has allegedly only completed two hours of service at a Los Angeles women's center since her July court hearing, according to CNN.

Perhaps the feel of handcuffs or the threat of jail will finally convince Lindsay Lohan that she is facing very real consequences. Given her penchant for probation violations, however, we're not holding our breath.
